As life gets busier and technology more advanced each day, social media has become the medium through

which people immerse themselves. This change has made people lose their appreciation towards real life interactions and became more willing to engage online.

 

Teatro Del Mondo’s structure is proposed to be situated at the heart of Hong Kong, where companionship and

real life interactions are once again considered as the forefront of human interaction. That is, along with a

good brew of coffee.

 

With this vision in mind, HOOP to LOOP becomes the design proposal for Teatro Del Mundo. It is inspired from the movement of hula hoop and the essence of bringing people together.

The movement of hula hoop can

be interpreted as a symbolism of life. Life has its ups and downs but it always gets better when you have people to loop around.
